Sassi is Scottsdale’s nationally known destination for fine Italian dining, wine and special events. Executive Chef Christopher Nicosia begins with the cooking methods, ingredients and traditions of Southern Italy, including a wood-burning oven and grill, handmade pastas and locally grown produce. He combines the best of American and Italian ingredients to create a menu that offers numerous choices of antipasti, primi (first Courses) and secondi (main courses) to satisfy any taste or palate. Accompanying the food is a list of over 250 Italian wines selected to match the flavors and style of the menu, as well as wines from California and a selection of Champagnes. The architecture and design of Sassi are similarly based in Old World Italy – hand hewn wood beams, stone floors, hand-plastered walls and iron light fixtures.
